Post-procedure care after micropigmentation is essential to ensure optimal and long-lasting results. Here I share a complete guide to caring for your skin during the healing process.

First 24-48 hours

During the first hours after the procedure:

  • Keep the area clean but avoid wetting it directly
  • Do not touch the treated area with your hands
  • Apply the recommended ointment as directed
  • Avoid makeup on the area

First week

What to expect

It is normal to experience:

  • Slight swelling
  • Redness
  • Tightness sensation
  • Formation of thin scabs

What to avoid

  • Direct sun exposure
  • Pools, saunas and hot tubs
  • Intense exercise causing excessive sweating
  • Scratching or picking at scabs

Second to fourth week

During this period:

  1. The skin will begin to regenerate
  2. Colors may appear lighter temporarily
  3. Scabs will fall off naturally
  4. The final color will stabilize

Long-term care

To maintain your results:

  • Sun protection: Use SPF 30+ on the treated area
  • Hydration: Keep the skin well moisturized
  • Touch-ups: Schedule maintenance sessions as needed

Warning signs

Contact your specialist if you experience:
